The Divisional out-patients Department (tel. 0545-214187/214194) is organised according to the type of patients that use this service. It includes:

Ordinary examinations booked by C.U.P. (48 examinations per week, every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.).

Urgent examinations: an average of 15 per week performed on the same days and hours as described above

Orthopaedic Emergency Room examinations.

Check-up examinations after hospitalisation: directly booked by the physician of the Operative Unit when patients leave the hospital: 10-12 of such examinations are performed daily in the Orthopaedic emergency rooms.

Check-up examinations after a previous out-patients performance: these examinations are also directly booked by the U.O. physicians for the period of time until the end of the treatment.

Scoliosis Out-patients assistance: a 2nd level screening is performed on adolescent patients between the age of 8 and 12; this department has been active since 1983 and deals with all the young population of the Lugo district. Such service is carried out by Doc. Guido Circi on Wednesday afternoons (from 2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.), averaging 18 examinations per week.

Anaesthesiology Out-patient assistance: a service performed every Wednesday (from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) by the physicians of the Anaesthesia and Reanimation Service of the Lugo Hospital District; it is located next to the Short hospitalisation sector and, since it is dedicated to all those patients that need to undergo pre-hospitalisation phase every week (about 10 every week), it is closely connected to the Pre-hospitalisation service.
